Roberto Esquivel

Roberto Esquivel has ample experience in administrative procurement and contracting, energy co-generation projects, project finance, and Aviation. Prior to joining Oller Abogados, Roberto was part of the legal team at the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), the largest public utilities company in Central America. At ICE, he coordinated the negotiation, execution, and final approval by the comptroller's office of local and international procurement contracts. In that capacity, Roberto normally engaged in complex negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and multilateral financial institutions. He holds a law degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Centroamerica (1994) and an MBA from the Universidad de Costa Rica (2000, with honors). He concluded the Program for Instruction for Lawyers and the Negotiation Workshop at Harvard Law School (2002). Roberto is a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Legal Committee of the Costa Rican Association of Airlines. Also he collaborates to the Economy Section of the local newspaper La Nacion.
